11mos.

Sawyer is 11mos. now, coming up his first birthday. It’s crazy how fast this past year has gone. He is developing a sense of humor and he cracks himself up all the time. He is very curious and is getting into everything, so we have to baby proof the house now. He is taking some steps with the help of a walker,  but not yet on his own. He is very much a boy, he likes cars, trucks, Thomas the Train is his favorite at this point. Image

10 Months

Sawyer is 10 months old now. He had alot of firsts this past month, he can pull himself up on furniture now, he went into a pool for the first time at the Arizona Grand. He went to his first baseball game, go Diamondbacks! He bought birthday presents for both of us, I’m not sure where he got the money. He has a ton of toys, but likes playing with the boxes things came in better. Why do we buy him all this stuff? I should just bring some boxes home, haha. He is eating better but still is low on the chart for weight, his height is normal and the Dr. says the rest of his development is on track. He is a very happy baby. He has 4 teeth now, seems like there are some others coming in and he has some tooth pain. His hair has gotten really long, we may have to get it cut sooner rather than later.

Easter 9 mos.

Well Sawyer turns 9 mos. old tomorrow. We took him to see the Easter Bunny this past weekend. The week before that we went back east to take him for his first trip on an airplane. We went to Buffalo to see Tom’s familiy and Cleveland to see Kim’s family. Everyone was happy to meet him, especially his little cousins.

8 months old

Tried to take a picture of Sawyer starting to crawl.

Sawyer is 8 months old now, he seems to learn new things everyday. He has started to crawl, mostly army crawl style. He gets faster everyday, so we are having fun chasing him around the house. He has also learned to sit up, can stand if we support him, but not on his own. He is still a very happy baby, smiles easily and often, giggles alot. He has been sick lately which our doctor says is normal for his age, it’s good for him to build up his immune system. Of course, this means we are up all night either giving him his medicine or staying up with him when he can’t sleep. Other than being tired, all is good. We are taking a trip to visit my family and Kim’s family later this month so that will be his first time on an airplane and both of our extented families are excited to meet him.

7 Months old

Look how big I'm getting

Sawyer is now 7 months old. This outfit I put him in is a little big for him but he’ll grow into it. He is developing, he now likes to bang objects together, he is such a little boy. He understands the signs for mama, dada and milk. However, he can’t yet make the signs himself. He babbles alot and we think he has said mama. No dada yet, darn it! He likes to play with his toys, and has started daycare. He can stand up if someone holds him steady as he is wobbly. He can’t yet sit up by himself but is getting closer. He recently had his first cold, he was very snotty and had some poopy issues. He is eating better, but is still on the small side. We have been referred to a speech pathologist and a Pediatric GI doctor who both evaluated him and made some suggestions that seem to be working. All in all, everything is good.
