We had our first pediatrician appointment today. Sawyer got a clean bill of health. Here is a picture of Sawyer in his carseat heading into his appointment.

Well our son has certainly figured out this whole eating thing. He now has an insatiable appetite. We are very pleased. 1st pediatrician visit tomorrow.

Sawyer came home from the hospital today, now that he has figured out how to drink from the bottle, he eats just fine. Kim is quickly becoming a feeding expert and is better with the diapers, while Tom is better at changing his clothes and swaddling him for bed.

Sawyer got his feeding tube out today. He is eating better, although the nurses haven’t been following the speech pathologists instructions lately. He still has eaten better, and if he keeps it up he might be able to come home tomorrow. Yeah!

I'm starting to get the hang of this.

Sawyer took 37cc at his last feeding, this is dramatic improvement. He started with 5cc, then 8cc, 20cc,22cc, now up to 37! He needs to be able to do around 60cc to get the feeding tube out. Hopefully that will be today or tomorrow.

Sawyer started to learn how to suck on the pacifier, now he just needs to transfer that skill to the bottle.

Ok, I'm starting to get the hang of this.

I can't figure out this bottle thing.

Sawyer has struggled to figure out how to take food in from the bottle.
